Designed to provide greater brightness under darker field conditions, the larger objective lenses of the 8.5x50 Vortex Razor binoculars provide 42% more light-gathering capacity than a conventional 42-mm objective lens. The Razor 8.5x50s are made with XD extra-low dispersion glass for truer color and sharper image quality and have the XR multi-coating for sharper resolution and brighter light throughout. The silver-coated prisms of the 8.5x50s are phase-corrected to enhance resolution even further. Vortex 8.5x50 Razor binoculars have a locking diopter mechanism in the focus knob and helically adjusting eyecups that can be instantly swapped out for flared eyecups that eliminate stray light from the side. With a stylish open hinge design on a rugged frame, the Razor 8.5x50s are 7.5 inches tall by 5.8 inches wide and weigh under 37 oz. The 8.5x50 Razors have a minimum close focus of 9.8 feet and a large 358 foot field of view at 1000 yards. Additionally as expected, the Razor 8.5x50 binoculars are O-ring sealed to be fully waterproof and argon-purged to be internally fog-proof. The Razor's 50 mm objective lens gathers extra light even under heavy cloud cover. The phase corrected Razor, with its patented XR multi-layer lens coatings and XD glass, delivers rich colors and vivid details, regardless of the distance.
